During the 2009-2010 academic year, I worked with the Delaware Center for Teacher Education as a Graduate Assistant, assigned to help with the Teacher Quality Enhancement Grant. TQE linked general and special education teachers from different middle- and high- schools to create (or create enhancements for) differentiated instructional units. Once done, these units and enhancements would be posted to the TQE website (and circulated in schools) both for use by teachers and as models for how to differentiate instruction. My job was several fold. First, under the direction of Bonnie Albertson, I compiled and reviewed lessons submitted by participating teachers, offering suggestions to teachers on various drafts. Once lessons were finalized, I crated a page on the TQE website (the page has since been updated) and posted the units there. Toward the end of my time on the grant - in addition to collecting survey data from participating teachers - I was able to shoot and direct several videos showing the TQE teaching teams in action! These videos were done to advertise the TQE project and show non-participating teachers what it was all about. Here are the Science and Math videos. (The editing was done on imovie and I created the soundtrack using Garage Band. Bonnie Albertson and I shot the footage for the Science video. The footage for the Math video existed before I began work with TQE.) | Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-wgzVZmbe4 Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRCf02ITX0U |
