Welcome (and CV)

I am currently a Teaching Assistant Professor in East Carolina University's College of Education (Department of Special Education, Foundations, and Research). I teach courses in the psychological and social foundations of education, including Learning, Motivation, and Assessment as well as Intro to Diversity.

My research and teaching interests are in the philosophy and history of American education, with particular eye on issues related to individual liberty and education.

Before pursuing PhD, I was a special educator at a Baltimore County (MD) high school, and before that, an instructional assistant at the high school level.
I invite you to take a look around my website, where you'll find information on courses I have taught, research I am doing, and other projects I am involved in both inside and outside of academia.
